Unfortunately we didn't like anything - we moved on after one night The cost of 90 euro's per room was well over the top for what it offered. We moved to a mercure hotel for 30 euros more which gave us everything |

A balcony overlooking the streets below and the rooftops. Gentle and helpful staff who gave us good advice. Central position. The front door on the street (although possibly nothing to do with the hotel) was uninviting because there was chipboard in place of glass - it looked a little derelict for a hotel. A tiny lift which clanked and banged although it did get us up and down. The fact that reception was on the 4th floor tho we got used to it. |

location! very near the sea and the shops. Friendly enviornment. Staffs are helpful. It was continuously had some technical problems but staffs had tried their best to fix it. table is too small and chairs are not enough in our room |

Everything we asked for was done, and the balcony and fridge in the room were great! Great location as well, staff friendly and helpful. We noticed larger rooms around us and were a bit unsure why we hadnt been able to book these as was a bit of a squash with two of us plus cot in our roon. The lift was tiny and could get annoying but pretty funny really. |

I've stayed at the Solara several times but stopped after the previous owner let standards slip. The new owner has turned the place around brilliantly, and the Solara is back to being a wonderful place to stay. The rooms with terrace are simply one of the most exceptional places to be in all of Nice, and probably the best 2* experience in all of Europe with their fabulous view. There are tiny, insignificant cosmetic flaws (E.G., yellowing light switch) you might have to look really hard to find that mean nothing. Other than that it is like being in heaven looking down on creation from the terrace rooms, with great-functioning a/c on the inside, and the owner is caring, sensitive, and absolutely terrific. |
